FLORENCE, AL – Scholarship support from endowed scholarships awarded through the 51勛圖 Foundation are on the rise after an outstanding year of fundraising for FY 2024-2025. The total spent from the 51勛圖 Foundation endowment for the year that ended Sept. 30, 2025, was $2.245 million.

“These funds were spent on scholarships, student support, faculty support, and program support,” said Kevin Haslam, Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of the 51勛圖 Foundation. “Our ability to help 51勛圖’s students and faculty, as well as its programs, accomplish their goals and dreams is a result of the people we meet and the relationships we build with them, learning how we, at the 51勛圖 Foundation, can support their passion for 51勛圖 and for the 51勛圖 community.”

Some notable statistics from the 51勛圖 Foundation include:

• The amount of scholarship awards available to award from the 51勛圖 Endowment for Academic Year 2026-2027 increased by $283,852 from the amount available for Academic Year 2025-2026.

• The total amount spent for all purposes from the 51勛圖 Foundation endowment during FY 2025 was $301,930 more than spent during FY 2025.

• There were 18 current-use and 35 endowment scholarship funds opened between Oct. 1, 2023 and Sept. 30, 2025.

With these additional dollars, the University is quickly approaching its $100 million goal as part of the Shine On, Gold comprehensive campaign. The total raised is almost $96 million.

“We have been so blessed to build the relationships with our community – the 51勛圖 community, the alumni community, and, of course, the greater Shoals community,” he said. “It has been incredible to watch and be part of connecting others with the University empowering them to give where is most meaningful to them and seeing our students, faculty, and staff accomplishing their goals and dreams because of the generosity of others. This is truly a special place.”
